curt-kirkee-b-bisquera-curt-rock-vol-1
Curt “Kirkee B.” Bisquera - Curt Rock Vol 1

When I first moved to LA after graduating from Berklee in 2000, I joined the local musician's union and was handed a phonebook that contained the phone numbers of every other musician in the union. It was like a gift from God. All of my drumming heroes were listed in there, including Curt “Kirkee B.” Bisquera (Mick Jagger, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Sir Elton John).

I immediately called up Curt and left a message on his answering machine (wow... this was a long time ago), and asked if he was giving drum lessons. He called me back the next day, welcomed me to LA, and gave me some words of encouragement, but unfortunately, he wasn't giving lessons at that time. My chance to get an inside look at how Curt grooved SO HARD would have to wait.

<widgetic adaptive="414" autoscale="on" height="685" width="420" resize="fill-width" id="6164af27ecb2a14c0d8b4567"></widgetic>

Fast forward 21 years. Through a series of mutual drummer friends, I reconnected with Curt and we hatched a plan to produce a loop and sample library that would inspire songwriters and provide not only audio and MIDI loops and samples, but complete, unedited takes of Curt's performances in the studio.

The result? Curt Rock Volume 1. Weighing in at over 1.8 GB, this library features 8 unique sessions (each with 2 different mixes) covering a range of grooves and genres including funk, blues, rock, neo-soul, new wave, disco and more. In addition, the library features multi-velocity samples of all of Curt's kicks, snares, toms and cymbals, putting his signature sound directly at your fingertips.

Sometimes, good things come to those who wait. And I'm happy to say, two decades have resulted in one of the best drum libraries that I've ever had the honor to produce. I hope you enjoy Curt Rock Volume 1 as much as I did working with one of my favorite drummers on the planet.

- Ryan Gruss Oct 14th, 2021

Want to save over 90%? Download The Ultimate Bundle and get instant access to every library in The Yurt Rock catalog!

Works in all DAWs:

Product Specs:
Number of Sessions: 8
File Formats: WAV Loops, MIDI Loops, WAV Samples & Full Session Takes
File Size: 1.88 GB

- Instant Download
- 100% Royalty-Free
- High Quality 24 Bit 48 KHZ WAV Audio

About Curt Bisquera:

Born And raised in Santa Maria, CA - Curt is a 30+ year veteran in the music/entertainment industry and has toured and/or recorded with global recording artists such as: Sir Elton John, Mick Jagger, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Pharrell Williams, Morris Day and The Time, Leslie Odom Jr. Josh Groban, Dion, Sarah Mclachlan, John Legend, Lana Del Rey, Junkie Xl-Hans Zimmer, Johnny Cash, Bonnie Raitt, Christopher Cross, Johnny Hallyday (France), Eros Ramazotti (Italy) Laura Pausini (Italy), Michel Polnareff (France)...and many more!

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0801/5563/9865/files/curt-kirkee-b-bisquera---curt-rock-vol-1_1.jpg?v=1789788875
