Kaloud Krysalis Upward Purge 2.0

Read this before you buy. The Upward Purge 2.0 fits Kaloud 2.0 Core Systems only. It also fits 1.0 systems that have had the 2.0 upgrade kit installed. It will not work on an original 1.0 system that has not been upgraded. There is no adapter and no workaround.

If you are on a 1.0 system without the upgrade, this is not your part. Kaloud has discontinued the 1.0 purge, so check the limited supply listing while stock lasts.

What it does

A purge clears stale air out of the chamber between bowls or after a bowl has sat. Standard purges push that air down and out through the base, which disturbs the water and, on a hookah with coals sitting on top, unsettles the whole setup. The Upward Purge sends it vertically instead.

The practical difference is that you can clear the chamber mid session without knocking the coals, dropping the water level, or waiting for everything to settle again. On a long session you purge more often than you think, and doing it without consequence changes how the session runs.

Construction

Machined metal, finished to match the rest of the Kaloud hardware. It sits flush rather than reading as an add on, which matters on a piece where everything else has been designed to line up.

Will this fit my 1.0 hookah?

Only if it has been upgraded with the 2.0 kit. Without that upgrade it will not work.

What happens if I fit it to a non upgraded 1.0?

It will not seal or function. Check which system you have before ordering.

Are 1.0 purges still made?

No. Production has been discontinued. The 2.0 is the current and future standard.

Why upward instead of downward?

It clears the chamber without disturbing the water or the coals, so you can purge mid session without resetting anything.

Do I need tools to fit it?

No. It seats into the port on a compatible system.
