SynfulSonics features 1,020 percussion loops crafted from sounds sampled directly from the legendary 1980s Mattel Synsonics Drums unit, along with additional auxiliary percussion instruments. The loops are arranged into multiple rhythmic variations across a wide range of tempos. You’ll also get 278 one-shot samples, giving you direct access to every sound at your fingertips.

Whether you’re producing synthwave, hip-hop, electronic music, something experimental, or anything else needing some fresh rhythmic textures, these loops bring vintage character and creative flexibility to your tracks.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Production tips - these loops translate REALLY well in time-stretch applications, and are super fun to chop and throw at uncommon time signatures. l've also had a blast loading Battery with the one-shots and getting into some deep tuning and sample destruction realms, and they handle all that kind of trickery happily. One of the most flexibly fun and instantly inspiring packs l've added to the collection.” - Tanner Cundy (Producer/Engineer)

About the Mattel Synsonics Drums

This vintage drum synthesizer features:
• Four pads: Cymbal, Snare, Tom Tom 1, and Tom Tom 2
• A series of buttons across the bottom
• A small “tune” modulation wheel on the left side (affects only Tom Tom 1)

Sample file names reflect whether the sounds were triggered via pads or buttons, and pad sounds were recorded at low, medium, and high velocities.

Special Notes:
• Cymbal: Sampled with and without the Accent button (produces High Hat vs. Crash). Files with “ACCENT” in the name had the button pressed.
• Bass Drum: No pad or velocity variations. Only playable via the button in the lower right corner.
• Tom Tom 1: Tuned across 13 pitches using the modulation wheel — spans a 5-octave range.

How To Use:

These loops are drag-and-drop ready for any DAW (Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Pro Tools, etc.) or sampler. Simply import the WAV files into your project and start creating!
